Weekend Preview of English Premier League

The list for the English Premier League this week’s has a couple of big games with Arsenal flying to play Liverpool and Manchester United will go against Aston Villa. The loss of Chelsea to Manchester City last weekend gave some hope to other teams chasing the leaders and the margin at the top was cut to two points. Chelsea continued its losses up to the end of last week. They also lost in the English League Cup by Blackburn Rovers and then lost to Manchester City in the league.
Before these events, they looked invincible and had a 5 point lead at the top of the league. Now, the two losses served as a wake up call for them and they have a home game this week against Everton. This season Everton had a lot of problems due to injuries. They are ranked on the bottom half of the league. Their past two games were good. They rallied from two goals to win against Tottenham in their last game and added a point. If they want to increase their league ranking they have to win games especially if they have the home court advantage.
