Toure said, Arsenal Needs a Leader

August 2, 2009 by Richard

kolo-toureKolo Toure the Manchester City defender says he left Arsenal due to the fact that the team lacked strength in the last seasons.  Toure reportedly got £16M for his transfer to Manchester.  He said the great players have all disappeared.  The leaders have all gone.  He is the last of the invincibles from the unbeaten 2003-04 season league that left the Emirates.  He also believes that leaving the team means it’s a career move and he must move on.

During the height of the team, they were like brothers.  Now, Arsenal is infusing fresh blood by getting young players.  This is good for the new players.  Arsenals boss is reluctant to spend and match the other teams in terms of funding, this started the drop of the team.  The best teams are on top due to the fact that they have the best players and the best players mean a lot of money to spend, he said.
