US Mens Soccer

US Mens Soccer National Team represents the United States in international soccer competition and is managed by the United States Soccer Federation. Traditionally, soccer does not have a high profile in American sporting life. But it has started to grow steadily since 1970. This team rank number 11 in the world which is ranked by FIFA World Ranking. It has become visible in the last five FIFA World Cups and is also appearing in South Africa for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Canada and the United States played for the first match internationally outside the United Kingdom in 1885.
The U.S. lost to Canada 1 – 0 in New Jersey. Then U.S. won the next year with the same score and in the same place. Years later, the U.S. played its first official international match under the banner of the U.S. Soccer versus Sweden in Stockholm and U.S. won with a score of 2-3. In the Summer Olympics of 1904 at St. Louis, Missouri they won silver and bronze medals in the US Mens Soccer.
