In Africa: 12 group winners and 8 best runners-up will jump to Round Three. The 20 teams will be grouped into 5 round-robin, home-and-away groups of 4 teams. Group 1 consists of Cameroon (7 pts), Cape Verde Islands (6 pts), Tanzania (2 pts), and Mauritius (1 pt). Group 2 are Kenya (6 pts), Zimbabwe (4 pts), Guinea (4 pts), and Namibia (3 pts). Group 3 are Angola (6 pts), Benin (6 pts), Uganda (6 pts), Niger (0 pt). The fourth group is Nigeria (9 pts), South Africa (3 pts), Equatorial Guinea (3 pts) and Sierra Leone (3 pts).
