The English camp seem to be in tension as they now reach a stage where they have no choice but to win the game against Slovenia if they are planning to move to the knockout stage. The English have undoubtedly shown a very dismal performance in their last two games in this year World Cup. They’ve even been booed at after they had a goalless draw against African team Algeria.

Sir Alex Ferguson who is the boss for Manchester United had spoken to Wayne Rooney the ace striker from the English team and said, “Sometimes the expectation can be debilitating. I had that feeling. I spoke to Wayne Rooney and said, relax and just enjoy it.”

The Sun even quoted Fergusson saying, “It’s been a disappointing World Cup but I had a feeling it would be, I have been disappointed with the quality levels, I haven’t been impressed at all.” He further added saying, “The players met up 3-4 days after the season finished and they have been together for most of that time, after a long, hard season. It’s a real task to ask players to perform at the best level they can achieve after the season in England”

It’s no doubt though that England have showcased a below average performance and they will have to raise their game considerably if they have to win against Slovenia. If they don’t this will be the first time that the English will clash out of the World Cup since 1958. They need to conjure up 3 points against Slovenia if they have to move to the next level.
Slovenia on the other hand is in a much better position and they only need to draw if they have to move on. This is really easy for them since we’ve already seen that there is something brewing in the English team and this could work to Slovenia’s advantage.

Its will be a game to watch out for, an electric atmosphere is sure to be built especially will their huge English fan club who are all set to pump up their team to victory. Expect nothing less from the Slovenian side.

World Cup 2010: Slovenia will play against England on 23/06 16:00 in Nelson Mandela Bay/Port Elizabeth

FIFA unveiled its official seeding system for the exciting World Cup 2010 Draw and top seeds will be England. This means the team won’t be picked against the other seeds, Holland, Spain, Italy, Argentina, Brazil, Germany or South Africa. It seems that FIFA had taken the Playoffs into account; France could have jumped over the team. But FIFA understood that it would be quite unfair and did the correct move. Now people are quite confident and have a kind of positive attitude and we agree to some extent. It means that if we are to win the World Cup, we have to win against all the finest teams to be able to do it. But, you know. It is irrationally terrifying.

Anyway, France and Portugal are expected, not on the seeding this means we could face them in the group. But it is highly possible that one of them will be facing against South Africa and have a stress-free group. After all, someone will.
Group Two is South Korea, Japan, Australia, North Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, United States and Honduras. So the team will be confronting one of those teams by June. Keep your fingers crossed for North Korea or New Zealand or Honduras, who we don’t have any idea of their game. A draw of the USA would be great, not the slightest for us users of the offside, great many people might have some mixed loyalties. But in the end you’d all come round England since we are the Fatherland.

Group three is Ghana, Ivory Coast, Algeria, Cameroon, Nigeria, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay. We are quite confident versus most of those teams. It is very likely that the Ivory Coast will go a long way in the World Cup if the draw they make will not be that devastating which they could. They could get France, Brazil or Portugal and Spain in the first round.

Group Four is made up of Wildcard Pot; it is composed of the other European Teams namely Slovenia, France, Portugal, Serbia, Switzerland, Greece, Denmark Serbia, and Slovakia. It is possible to beat France on regular day, but better yet to avoid them since recently they’ve beaten us. Portugal has brought about too much misfortune these past years that they’re becoming another Germany so it’s better not to face them again. Serbia has a lot of good players that it would be better to say No Thanks to them, if that is possible. So there are very easy groups and night mare group of death as well. There will also be a Group of Death, thanks to France and Portugal not being seeded. I hope we do not cross their path. But if it is our lucky day, we can win on either of those sides.
