World player of the year Christiano Ronaldo has said that they will beat Inter in both legs in the UEFA Champions League. The player is confident after the United’s match winning streak in the premier league. So far after Christmas they are unbeatable and in top form.
Although several of their players are injured and they are doing too good without them. The depth in their squad is enormous and thats what has made Ronaldo pompous about beating Inter.
Inter is also in a to form in Serie A and they probably going to win the league under Mourinho. Mourinho might again get hit by Ronaldo’s comment and he will soon reply with his old tricks. He has had a rivalry with Ronaldo once in the league and it will come up once again is the two top teams meet head to head in UEFA Champione League in February and March.
Adriano banned for punching

Inter Milan’s Brazilian striker Adriano has been banned for three matches after being found guilty of punching an opponent.
Adriano scored the winning goal against Sampdoria on Sunday, but television cameras caught him trying to punch Daniele Gastaldello in the stomach as he tried to escape his marker. If the referee had seen the incient then, Adriano would have been sent off right then. After the match, the Sporting Judge viewed the video evidence and found him guilty.
This is further bad news for Inter, who also had manager Jose Mourinho sent to the stands after a heated dispute on the sidelines. As a result he has also been awarded a one-match touchline ban.
Inter are facing an injury crisis, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Julio Cruz injured, leaving Adriano as the only fit striker.
The defending Italian champions will have to dig deep as they look to maintain their three point advantage over Juventus in the Serie A.
Liverpool can win the title – Mourinho
January 25, 2009 by Tulsi · Leave a Comment
Ex-Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has tipped Liverpool to win the premier league title this year despite the fact that manchester united now lie on top of the table with a superior goal difference and one match in hand.
The Intermilan manage thinks that htey should not lose their focus. They have already lost points at home from draws which they cannot afford any more now. Rafa is a great manager, liverpool has the best fans in the world, they have players like torres and gerrard and they have everything one needs to win the title. He said that I dont see any problem with their side and they should have won it before. This year is the best chance for them as they have not lost too many points. The should not let the gap increase between them and the red devils. The Reds are in top form , they didnt achieve in the past four years and they should surely go for the title. Although they should not lose focus when Champions League fixtures come in ebtween.
Domenech lashes out at Mourinho
January 23, 2009 by Qasim · Leave a Comment

French national coach Raymond Domenech has continued his attack on Italian football, now starting a fight with Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho.
Domenech has previously criticized Italian football and the Serie A, and has also had a war of words with Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri, Catania and some Italian journalists. He is also remembered for his outburst after the Azzurri beat France to win the FIFA World Cup in 2006.
“Mourinho is like the British tabloids, his best strength is to provoke everything and everyone, and he doesn’t even care about himself anymore,” Domenech said. “There are always farcical situations when Mourinho is around.”
Domenech will not win many friends with these statements, as French striker David Trezeguet also had a swipe at the coach this week: “I made the decision to quit Les Bleus in order to leave my place to a player who can work with Domenech’s system. And even if everything goes well with Juventus, I believe that Domenech has other ideas.
“I had the opportunity to play under Tigana, Lippi, Ancelotti, Capello, and Deschamps. These are high-level coaches who have won titles. This is why it is difficult to accept certain decisions from someone who has won nothing.”
Inter 2-1 Roma

Inter Milan knocked holders Roma out of the Coppa Italia after a narrow 2-1 win at the San Siro on Wednesday.
Inter had been poor in their weekend game against Atalanta, losing 3-1, and clearly needed to up their game in front of their home fans. Manager Jose Mourinho handed troubled striker Adriano a start, and he did not disappoint as he opened the scoring after ten minutes to give his team the advantage.
Roma have had a poor season by their standards so far, but they fought back in the second half, and managed to pull level through Rodrigo Taddei on the hour mark. However, as they say, you are most vulnerable after you have just scored. This proved to be the case here, as Roma conceded again after just two minutes, Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic scoring from a rebound to make it 2-1.
Roma tried hard after that to find a way back, but Inter held on to book a place in the semi-final.
“This victory is a very good reaction to the defeat we suffered on Sunday in Bergamo,” Jose Mourinho declared in an interview after the match. “When we play in that fashion, everything is better, both on and off the field. For this reason I am happy, and so are the players, as we don’t like to lose a lot,” he added.
