Panucci faces Roma exit
January 27, 2009 by Qasim · Leave a Comment

Christian Panucci seems set to leave Roma, after coach Luciano Spalletti left him out of the squad for the game against Palermo on Wednesday.
The player himself revealed earlier that Spalletti does not respect him and he wants to leave the club, refusing to sit on the bench against Napoli.
Reagrding the present situation, Spalletti said: “Panucci was disrespectful in the way that he acted. I don’t know if he will stay or go. I need to take the will of the player into consideration, and seeing as he does not want to play for the team he has not been called up. We will take a look at the defence again if we decide to sell Panucci.”
Panucci’s contract at Roma runs out in the summer, and although he is 25 years old, there are still a few clubs who would like to have the experienced defender in their ranks. Even Milan have expressed their interest in the player recently, and they will no doubt be monitoring the situaton closely.

Only one Manchester: Beckham

AC Milan’ English midfielder David Beckham is certainly not impressed by the financial strngth of Manchester City, as he still believes that only his old club, Manchester United are still the noteworthy club from the city of Manchester.
“I only care about Manchester United personally,” the former Old Trafford favourite said in The Sun. City have been bought by a company now and there’s a lot of money there. But for me, United are the only team in Manchester.”
City have been chasing his team-mate Kaka with a huge deal, but Beckham has been trying to convince the player to stay at Milan. “Kaka doesn’t need my advice. He will decide what he wants to do,” he.
“It’s not always about money. It’s about playing for the best team, playing with the best players in the world and winning trophies and being successful.
“He’s one of the best players in the world and every Milan player is there to support him and encourage him, but we will see. We want him to stay.”
