Redknapp No Rules Revision

August 22, 2009 by Richard · Leave a Comment

harry-redknappHarry Redknapp the Tottenham boss says there is no need to revise rules on tapping up since the players know who the clubs are interested in signing them up.  Manchester was criticized by Everton by the way they hounded Joleon Lescott.  And Peter Storrie the Portsmouth chief executive was quoted that illegal moves are widespread.

There are also claims of the club not happy with the signing of Peter Crouch to the Spurs because other clubs are willing to pay more for the striker.  Redknapp disagree with the role of agents mean players know which teams want their signature.  Every club tells a player that they’re interested and anyone who don’t is lying,” he said.  It’s not tapping a player but it’s the agent calling and asking if you’re interested.  The message is returned to the player if the club is interested and then he decides if he wants to go.

klaas-jan-huntelaarHarry Redknapp the manager of Tottenham remains enthusiastic to sign Klaas-Jan Huntelaar the striker from Real Madrid even with Peter Crouch the striker from England that was added to his squad last week. Crouch completed a 9 million move last Monday in the Spurs attack. Huntelaar was about to join Stuttgart a week ago but the move did not push thru because of the demand of the player.

Redknapp is still interested in the striker from Holland even with a few complications and it is still possible. He said, if Huntelaar is available, he is still interested. Since competition is what it is about. If he could get Huntelaar, it will mean five top of the line strikers eyeing for this seasons Spurs forward line. The boss is not concerned with the other players in the team. And that they have to fight for their position in the team. They have to please the fans and its all about competition.
