At the current standings, the English Premiere League crown is Manchester United’s to lose as they have been in the top spot of the standings for nearly a quarter of the year and are on course for a third straight crown.

There is still work to be done as they still have matches against Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal together with their campaign in the Champions League. Also, the string of injuries has certainly put a cloud on their quest for glory. But despite all these, under the sterling helmsmanship of Sir Alex Ferguson, there has been a willingness for the team to win, as he still has a three point lead with a game in hand that translates to a lead that is hard for Liverpool and Chelsea to catch up to.

They have an impressive record at Old Trafford which is 43 points and that is more than half the league title. They have Edwin van der Sar’s string of 14 straight no goal games which is a clear dominance over the league which gains respect for the league and the greatness of the would be champions.
