Chelsea’s troubled striker Didier Drogba could be on his way to Manchester City, according to some reports.
It is reported that City are prepared to hand the Ivorian , who currently earns 90,000 pounds per week at Stamford Bridge, a four-and-a-half-year contract and double his wages to 180,000 per week. This offer would be quite attractive to the 30-year-old whose future at Chelsea has become increasingly uncertain over the past few weeks after a few poor performances and his subsequent axing from the team for the last two games.
Also, after his efforts to sign Paraguayan Roque Santa Cruz and Kaka from Blackburn Rovers and Milan respectively failed, and with money to spend, he is likely to make one big money puchase before the end of the transfer window.

Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari has refuted rumours that striker Didier Drogba is on his way out after being dropped in the games against Stoke City and Southend.
Scolari has insisted that there is no rift between him and Drogba, and that the Ivorian remains a key part of the squad.”Didier may be with the squad against Ipswich, he does not have a problem with me or the club,” Scolari said. “He is training very well and starting to build his condition again, not only his fitness but his technique too.”
“It’s a normal situation, for these games I chose other players,” said Scolari, who selected youngsters Miroslav Stoch and Franco Di Santo for the two games when Drogba was absent.
“It was my choice not to have Drogba but I don’t have anything against him. I am the coach, it was my choice and the two young kids offered me more.”
Drogba out of Blues favour

Didier Drogba has fallen out of Blues favour this season after the arrival of Nicholas Anelka from Bolton Wanderers. The bulky striker has been left out of Chelsea squad for the last two games and it seems as though he might be approaching the Stamford Bridge’s exit door.
Till last season, Drogba was the first choice striker but the arrival of French hit man and the injury sustained by Drogba during the early half of season reduced his playing time. Now, he is finding it difficult to replace the Premier League’s top scorer and also fails to form a formidable partnership with Anelka resulting him being sidelined.
The Chelsea manager has also hinted at his departure saying that if a good offer comes in, he might be sold. Two of the club’s younger talents have been preferred to the Ivorian in the last few weeks but he may still make a return in the near future given his pedigree that he has shown for the last four years at Chelsea.
Drogba could be sold: Scolari

Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari has hinted that striker Didier Drogba could be sold in the January transfer window.
The Ivorian has endured a torrid last few months at Stamford Bridge, culminating in him being dropped against Stoke on Saturday. His performance against Manchester United in the 3-0 defeat was poor, and that seemed to have convinced the Chelsea managemnet that he is past his best.
Speaking about Drogba, Scolari said: “Sell him? It’s my choice but I think if someone offers a lot of money, the club might accept it. He still trains very hard and could be in my side next week – but I make the decisions.”
