Seedorf Gets AC Milan Back On Track

Clarence Seedorf helped AC Milan return to its fighting form as they beat Cagliari one goal to nil. This win also helped their chances in the last 32 match opposite Werder Bremen in the UEFA Cup.
Seedorf made the only goal of the match with a tap in at the 63rd minute in a match dominated by the visiting Milanese club side. The win also helped close in on the lead of Inter Milan who sits atop the standings with an eleven point lead over their cross-town rivals. But more than that rivalry, the win helped bring back the confidence before their return match against Bremen after a one goal draw. Like many fans, even Milan president and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berloscuni was aghast with the late goal by Weder in their match up the previous week. This prompted rumours that Carlo Ancelotti would get the axe. This was scoffed at by Ancelotti as the disappointment over the goal is but natural and what the team needs is to play to win and not play not to lose after scoring first.
Ronaldinho gets number 80 shirt

After a fracas with new teammate Clarence Seedorf over the number 10 shirt and fellow Brazilian Leonardo’s failure to convince the Dutch international to relinquish his number 10 shirt; new Milan idol Ronaldinho has settled for a less than conventional squad number.
Seedorf was reported as saying that Ronaldinho is not needed at the club and the Dutch veteran is not willing to give up the number he has played in for most of his Milan career and this has sparked the first murmurs of unrest in the Milan camp but instead of taking the vacant number 11 shirt that was left by the departure of Alberto Gillardino to Fiorentina; the Brazilian maestro has gone for the unconventional number 80.
The rationale behind the choice for the number is the fact that Ronaldinho, or little Ronaldo, was born in 1980.
