Liverpool and Everton meet head to head in the second leg of the FA cup after having drawn the first match at Anfield last week. Liverpool managed to find a goal in the second half, it was again Captain Steven Gerrard the savior of the Reds. This is the third match between Everton and Liverpool in the last 15 days and this time Liverpool is surely looking to win after winning against Chelsea last week.
Fernando Torres is back in form, Robbie Keane is back to Spurs, so no more regrets for the old champ. Everton now must be really thinking in this match. They have drawn the previous two matches and Liverpool cannot afford another draw. They will hopefully look to win. It’s an away match and Liverpool has good form in matches away from Anfield. They managed to win against Chelsea at home.
quaresma joins chelsea

Ricardo Quaresma who was to join Spurs at White Hart Lane, has ended up joining Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. It must have been a disappointment to the Spurs fans who were dying to have a quality striker at their club. Chelsea on the other hand might be satisfied that they have a good replacement for Anelka and Drogba who are not in a good form for them. They lost 2-0 to Liverpool last night and they are clearly looking to make things better.
Quaresma was unsettled at Intermilan under Jose Mourinho so he joined Blues on a loan transfer. The highly rated striker was wanted by several clubs in Summer last year but he joind inter in the end. He was unsettled at Inter so he has now joined Chelsea, he might just get things going for the Blues. Quaresma has played well for FC Porto but couldn’t find his form at Inter.
Torres shines again for Reds

It was a fabulous and awesome performance from the Reds starlet Fernando Torres who struck screaming header in the 89th minute of the game. He then struck another in the 90th minute when Benayoun created another chance after a defensive error from the Blues.
Rafael Benitez hailed the victory an said it was important for the team after a long time. They are now back in the race and they will definitely beat Everton to move ahead in the FA Cup. Frank Lampard was sent off in the start of the second half due to a tackle on Alonso. It was clearly not a red card but Liverpool deserved to win.
The Reds attacked through out the game and they were the only ones looking to win. Chelsea was looking for a draw after Lampard was sent off. But the Reds broke the deadlock and got three deserved points to cut their lead to two points to manchester united.
Keane on bench tonight – Rafa

The 20 million pound striker from spurs is left on bench yet again for Sunday night’s big match against title contenders Chelsea. A win for both the team is necessary in order to give some problem to the red devils who are 5 points clear of both Liverpool and Chelsea.
Liverpool is more desperate for a win and Rafa is playing his favorite line-up tonight as he leaves Keane on bench. A lone striker Torres has proved to be working for Rafa in the past and he is going for it again. It seems that the Reds have accepted that buying Keane was a big mistake when they already had Torres and now they hopefully sell him back to Spurs in summer as Redknapp needs some reinforcement too.
The Reds are favorites tonight but less liekly as their form at home is lagging. Keane will watch the match from bench and substitution is also difficult gor him tonight.
Lampard wants Chelsea to beat Reds

Its the second leg at home for the Reds and they are hungry for a win after a line of draws. Torres is hungry for goals and Liverpool for win which will make it a deadly combo on Saturday night.
On the other Chelsea starlet Lampard wants the Blues to beat title contenders who have become sluggish in the race as they lost their lead to united and to them on goal difference. Lampard wants Chelsea to give a showdown to go 3 points clear ahead of Liverpool so they can then one contend with united. A win is important for both the teams.
Lampard is in great from for the blues this season. He has scored goals at crucial moments and is looking to kill the reds. But so in form is the captain Steven Gerrard and it is inevitable that two english midfielders go head to head tonight.
