The Ellis Park Stadium on the other hand, shall be the venue for semi-final matches. Next is the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, named after the former secretary general of the South African Communist Party. The Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein will serve as the home of two Bloemfontein based sports franchises. Destined to be one of the most innovative football stadiums in the world, the Green Point Stadium in Cape Town will showcase advanced features and designs for football enthusiasts. The five other stadiums for World Cup 2010 include: Mbombela Stadium (Nelspruit), Loftus Versfeld Stadium (Pretoria), Peter Mokaba Stadium (Polokwane), Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium (Port Elizabeth) and Royal Bafokeng Stadium (Rustenburg).
