Serbia’s Lazovic to be a Spur in Time

February 15, 2009 by Richard

darko-lazovicDarko Lazovic returns to Serbia after a week’s training with Premier League Side Tottenham Hotspur. He is currently being touted as Serbia’s latest football prospect and hopes to one day lace up his boots for the famed English club.

Both the Spurs and Lazovic were pleased at how the training camp went and it is believed that it would only be a matter of time before the club formally makes an offer for the services of the eighteen year old striker. He is currently signed with Serbian side Borac Cacak and is now being eyed by national mentor Radomir Antic to be caped for the Serbian team.

On the side of both parties is time for improvement and achievement. Lazovic can return to his homeland and play for the teams who seek his expertise. On the other hand, Tottenham can make room for the striker in its roster and await the development of the forward as he plays under their watchful eye. In the end, both player and side would prosper, as the proper timing is essential for the eventual transfer from second tier competition to Premier League matches.
