Redknapp No Rules Revision
August 22, 2009 by Richard
Harry Redknapp the Tottenham boss says there is no need to revise rules on tapping up since the players know who the clubs are interested in signing them up. Manchester was criticized by Everton by the way they hounded Joleon Lescott. And Peter Storrie the Portsmouth chief executive was quoted that illegal moves are widespread.
There are also claims of the club not happy with the signing of Peter Crouch to the Spurs because other clubs are willing to pay more for the striker. Redknapp disagree with the role of agents mean players know which teams want their signature. Every club tells a player that they’re interested and anyone who don’t is lying,” he said. It’s not tapping a player but it’s the agent calling and asking if you’re interested. The message is returned to the player if the club is interested and then he decides if he wants to go.
