Manchester City set to sign Tal Ben Haim
July 12, 2008 by Kerron
As new manager Mark Hughes builds his new team after taking over from former England coach Sven Goran Eriksson as City boss, Manchester City have been linked to the acquisition of Chelsea defender Tal Ben Haim.
The 26 year Israeli joined Chelsea from Bolton Wanderers in June 2007 as back up to John Terry and Ricardo Carvalho who were injured at the time and since both players returned fully to competitive action, Ben Haim has not featured in many Chelsea games. His situation was further compounded when he was reportedly at odds with Chelsea coach Avram Grant.
Manchester City are reportedly willing to offer Chelsea £5 million for the Israeli international who will partner club captian Richard Dunne in the heart of the City defence.
