Lampard for reserves rather than Inter
June 29, 2008
Lampard who has been linked with a move to Italian Champions Inter Milan to rejoin former Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho is now facing the decision of his career.
Sources close to the West London based team have divulged that if the player refuses to sign a new contract with the club; he will be left to rot in the reserve team for a year until his contract expires in 2009.
At this point Lampard would be a free agent. Chelsea are fighting to prevent the England international from leaving the club quite possibly because of Mourinho. The Italian champions were siad to have been paying the midfielder €7.3m a year in a four year contract that would see Chelsea getting a transfer fee of €9m.
This deal was not official and now Lampard must make the decision that will affect his future and present, hopefully he chooses wisely.
