December 28, 2009 by Richard

Inter Milan is now eight points on top of Serie A with a 1-0 win over Lazio on Sunday night.  Samuel Eto’o scored the only goal of the game after 14 minutes as Jose Mourinho’s side took full advantage of city rivals AC Milan after a postponed game on Saturday because of a bad weather.  Juventus still on third spot even loosing to Catania 2-1 which had President Jean-Claude Blanc affirming that coach Ciro Ferrara still has the full backing of the team.

Blanc said on the official website of the club that the winter break comes at the right time and will help us reflect. Our plan will not change in only three days and we have confidence in Ferrara.  The Sicilians got their first win over Juventus in 45 years thanks to Jorge Martinez penalty from midway through the first half and a winner from Mariano Izco three minutes from time.
