Flamini makes encouraging Milan debutFollowing AC Milan’s 0-0 draw against Cremonese last evening, summer signing Mathieu Flamini is pleased with his debut. The Fenchman joined the Serie A outfit on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract at Emirates Stadium.

The 24-year-old has been tipped by many to be the signing of the summer and showed why he is thought of this way with a splendid performance in the heart of the Milan midfield. The underrated Frenchman stated that “Everything went the right way, on the pitch I did not have problems and I’m happy.” “It was just my first game with the Milan shirt and I hope it will be the first in a long line.

“During this week we had a difficult preparation and let’s hope to improve gradually.

“We will now have many games to play and the important thing is to prepare ourselves for the league.” AC Milan has had two disappointing seasons finishing fourth and fifth respectively but with this summer’s signings of Ronaldinho, Gianluca Zambrotta, Marco Borriello and Flamini; many are saying they stand a very good chance of winning the Scudetto.
