Columbus 2- 2 Houston

Columbus went a man down just 11 minutes in against Houston Wednesday night, fought back to take the lead, and then saw their lead vanish with a late goal in an intriguing 2-2 draw with visiting Houston.

Things looked bleak for the Crew early on, after an elbow from Emmanuel Ekpo saw the midfielder given his marching ordersr just 11 minutes in. Then, Je-Vaughn Watson’s header gave Columbus a 1-0 lead in the 34th.

But the Crew were resolute, and took back a shock lead with 15 minutes left on the second of two successful penalties from Andre Mendoza.

Calen Carr helped the visitors to a share of the spoils, equalizing from a cross in the 86th minute.
