Then it is continued by balls kicked towards the stands for the fans and a thank you very much speeches.

There were many die-hard fans of soccer who would not spare their time. Based on the data comparing the event crowd to the average Toronto FC crowd. It showed low appearance and many didn’t come. But those that attended came from all ages and colors. Some with turbans and baseball caps while some of the women and a lot of kids. They all lined up three and four deep to see their favorite players

Alonso has refused to commit to his present club even with their boss Benitez has repeatedly expressed his desire to keep him.

Benitez has been talking with Alonso while they were in the pre-season tour in Asia for an offer to stay with the club. But the request looks like; Benitez is loosing the battle to keep his midfield star who should still have three years to go with his contact. The two clubs now has to sit back and settle on the fee. Real Madrid has offered 20.5illion pounds for Alonzo but Benitez was offering 35 million. Real is not willing to go beyond 25 million euros for the player.

The study was conducted by Deloitte’s Sports, a private firm, and in its year long review, the report showed that the Madrid based club earned revenues amounting to €365.8 million or roughly $471.9 million. Manchester United’s fortune has changed dramatically due to exchange rate fluctuations, making it worth €324.8 million for the year.

Despite the gripping financial crisis, Real Madrid has had a steady four percent growth rate for revenue in the 2007 to 2008 season. It has since 2002 doubled its annual revenue. It has had on pitch success as well, winning the La Liga title for the 31st time. But like all businesses, the commercial revenue for the club has dipped significantly as its previous shirt sponsor, BenQ Mobile has filed for chapter 11 protection and David Beckham, one of the club’s main draws has transferred to MLS club LA Galaxy.
