Happy at Atletico Madrid
February 16, 2009 by Richard · Comments Off
Striker Segio Aguero has been asked about other options and he quickly retorted that he is happy at Atletico Madrid and moving to another club is far from his mind. This quells the many rumours about him being courted by many European clubs. This is also a response to his current partner’s father, the great Diego Maradona suggesting that he moves to Inter Milan.
He clarified that at the moment he is happy with the Primera Liga side yet he is not closing any doors. Known to many simply as Kun, he said when he is unhappy with how things are he will be the first one to say so. He has since returned to form after a lacklustre December to January by scoring a goal and setting up striker Diego Forlan for two scores in Atletico’s triumph over Recretivo Huelva, three goals to none.
He has also been instrumental in Argentina’s 2 nil victory over France in a friendly in Marseille. To what his partner’s father has said, he clarified that the great Argentine’s comments were misinterpreted as what he wanted to say that he would make a great tandem with current Inter striker Zlatan Ibrahimivic. Everything else said were just conjectures spun by reporters.
Javier Aguirre left Atletico Madrid
February 3, 2009 by Tulsi · Comments Off
The Atletico Madrid coach Javier Aguirre has left the club yesterday. The rumors have come to an end that he will be axed in the end of this season. He himself was aware that the team is lacking form under hs regime and he will be asked to leave any time.
The reknowned coach of spanish league has now left the club, he stepped down himself because could not let the team go down the drain anymore. Their performance in the last five to tn matches in La Liga was not up to the mark. Their chances of qualifying for the next year seemed bizzare and so he left with an expectation that the team will qualify next year under anoter manager. He has said that he has no regret and he his happy as the decision was mutual. It is good for both the team and me and the fans sake.
