boltonwanderersBolton’s two goals in a span of two minutes were enough to earn valuable points and the confidence building win over West Ham in last Saturday’s match. The first goal was a picture perfect free kick by Matthew Taylor right into the top corner of the goal. A minute later, Johan Elmander drew a cross into the waiting Kevin Davies to lead the ball into the West Ham cords. West Ham had many chances to score but all proved fruitless until the break of the match. After the half, West Ham put on the pressure and after some time, West Ham was able to score a goal as Jonathan Spector connected with a cross to Scott Parker who tapped in the goal for that all important away goal points. Despite best efforts by West Ham to equalise, the Trotters were able to hold on to the win. This allowed Greg Megson’s Bolton Wanderers to climb up to twelfth place in the standings while the Gianfranco Zola managed West Ham remained in the eighth spot over-all.
