July 24, 2008
According to reports, Barcelona are set to launch a renewed bid somewhere in the region of €20m to €25m for Juventus hitman and former French international David Trezeguet. Trezeguet has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona over several months and new Coach Josep Guardiola is said to be desperate for a prolific hitman.
The 30 year old striker who previous stated that he wishes to remain a Juventus player until he retires from the game, arrived in Turin from Monaco in 2000 is now the subject of the Barcelona coach’s interest which sees the coach renewing his interest in the player is ready to table an offer of €20m to €25m for the striker’s services.
Juventus has a host of quality strikers and may see the offer as one too good to refuse. If Trezegol were to sign for Barca he would join up with former French teammate and former Monaco teammate Thierry Henry.
