2010 World Cup: South Africa Struck by Rumors

As preparations are being made by South Africa for the coming 2010 World Cup, there have been rumors circulating in different news reports that the venue for the World Cup event will be moved to other country which was not identified.
According to the reports some of the FIFA officials, Franz Beckenbauer and Horst R. Schmidt have doubts on South Africa’s capability in planning and preparation for hosting the event.
Amidst the many speculations being reported, Sepp Blatter, FIFA President clarified that there are no plans of moving the event. He expressed his confidence that South Africa will be capable of hosting the 2010 World Cup. Sepp Blatter confirmed that there are contingency plans in case any untoward incidents or catastrophe.
However, in spite of the assurance made by FIFA, rumors still continue to spread. South African government officials are hurt by these rumors but they assured that they are doing their best for the event and they will definitely host the 2010 World Cup as planned.
